Anybody know about Vulcan espresso makers?

Postby grecofiore on Wed Dec 07, 2011 4:00 pm

Anyone know anything, or heard anything about old "Vulcan" electric espresso makers? I have one I am guessing dates circa 30's-40's. It is small for home use with a little branch that can fill four small demi cups at the same time. I would like to know something about them but can't find any info anywhere I have searched. thanks,

Steam pressured espresso makers like this one were made in all European countries from the 1930s to the 1980s. They came with 1 to 6 spouts. Also, Vulcan is a fairly common name for appliances and includes at least one US manufacturer of percolators and other kitchen stuff.

There are a few collectors of old coffee gear here, and you can post a picture and more info to help them identify the machine; or you can try collectors' forums, where there are experts on old kitchen appliances of all sorts.
