Andreja Premium boiler pressure and cycle time - Page 2

Postby marfer on Mon Mar 28, 2011 9:39 pm

Thanks for all the help. I adjusted the boiler pressure and the brew pressure today. I think I went a little too far with the brew pressure, crema flattened out too much. Still cycling too fast. I'll order in a vacuum pressure valve and hope that helps.

No need to guess where steam is leaking from: Get a cardboard tube and use it as a stethoscope.

I replaced the CEME pressurestat with a new CEME pressurestat (it came with the used machine when I bought it) and cycle times are good now at 110 seconds. The green light works now too. Hopefully there were no leaks. I also removed and cleaned the vacuum breaker. The brew pressure range seams a little broad at
1.0 - 1.25 but I'm not sure I should start messing with dead band screw over that. Thanks for all your help everyone. Next I can venture into that HX descale PITA! Life was so much simpler with my Gaggia Classic.
