thanks guys, i might look into those Rocket tips. I think i found a canadian vendor for them too. Nixter, you are still operating with the original tip with one plugged hole huh. I might give that another try as well. My original attempts kinda failed due to the size of the toothpicks i had on hand (they wouldn't stay in...)

Your toothpicks are probably fine. You have to use a pair of pliers and really jam and twist it in. I use enough force that the sides get sheered off the toothpick. Then once you blast a little wet steam through the wand the toothpick will expand and stay put.

I have had my machine for less than 2 weeks, but it seems really very odd to take such a beautiful /expensive machine and put a toothpick in the steam hole. I am still practicing and know one day I will get the microfoam with the the 2 holes. I just hope someone or a vendor has mentioned this problem to Rocket in Milano.

Kamali, don't despair. We are just fussing on details, you will make good microfoam with the stock tip. Here's a few examples done with my Rocket and stock tip.
