If I remember correctly, I was dissatisfied with the manually cut asbestos boiler gasket and dumb enough not to know if my machine was brass- or gold-plated. I was shocked to see that the brass-coated portafilter I ordered from you had a substantially different color from my machine :^p

let me understand one thing

A could be us we ship worldwide

B I'm trying to help you and you criticized for some parts I might sent you?

C all my pavoni parts are purchase from the USA importer and are original from la pavoni Italy

D you choose not to say anything or contact us when you supposedly received the parts
and now you write on a forum about it?

E you are welcome for the free help just to say it in a nice way I'm done with this post

@Stefano: I assume it was not Orwa's original intent to critique your company's service in this thread.

@Orwa: Please see Guidelines for productive online discussion, specifically the section entitled Public complaints about customer service and its recommendation: Please use these forums only as a last resort for complaining about vendors. Thanks.

Today I had some time to use the silicone hose method and yeah, the hissing sound is clearly being emitted by one of the two pipe joints on the right side of the steam boiler. I think that joint is leaking steam.

I did not try to fix it, I thought I'd rather tell my boss that the machine needs service.

Regardless of the steam leakage, I could not resist changing the pressurestat setting. It took me half a turn in the clockwise direction to move the setting from 1.2 to 1.5 bar, now the steam boiler operates at a pressure of 1.5 bar.

I have to say that initially the steaming seems so difficult, at least using the same pitcher position/angle I am used to. One noticeable thing also is that steaming with larger pitchers is more possible but also difficult. It is less forgiving as someone said when you are working with higher steam-boiler pressure.

Even though I am not turning out wonderful milk every time after the pressure adjustment, I am willing to leave the setting like this for few days to see if I can adjust my steaming method to the new pressure, since this pressure performs better with larger pitchers.

@Stefano: In case you have noticed, I called myself dumb for not knowing whether my machine was brass or gold plated. I was dissatisfied at that time because the color of the brass portafilter was different from the color of my golden machine, but then realized that I ordered the wrong portafilter. That tells something about my attitude writing these lines don't you think?

I am mentioning this to add flavor to the post, not to complain about your service of course (what a lousy place/time to complain after two or more years).

Instead I should have said that the price of the parts I bought at the time was excellent, I bought a portafilter and a basket for almost half the price offered on other websites, so overall my impression was a positive one.

In fact, I sent many e-mails and someone from the company responded to me and said that he can send me photos of the parts prior to shipment to avoid problems like this happening again in the future. Overall the contact person was very responsive and again this left an overall positive impression.

Maybe I thought you could be the one I have been e-mailing in the past and that you could remember me, maybe this is why I decided to share this with you... Now I know it was a bad idea so let's not talk more about it.
