Lineage Coffe Roasting - Ethiopia Ardi
Dry Processed Sidamo
Brewed as espresso, 18.5 in 28 out, sweet strawberries and cream. By far one of the best shots Ive had in a long time.
I thought I had it dialed in, and it was delicious. After extracting a little more, wow!, much more body/sweetness/balance.
Im still thinking about this shot.

Wood-Fire Roasted Coffee Company's Nicaragua beans (Reno Nevada).
Decided to give this a go from the taste description on the bag and glad I did. At day 6 post roast I was able to pull the 3 predominate flavors, chocolate, roasted Hazelnut & orange...delicious! For me and all things Central American beans, this is a rare treat.

I hope I don't irritate anyone by reposting myself, but.... I just want to reiterate how amazing this coffee was, I just drank the last cup. I'm not sure if it is still available, but if it is, definitely pick it up!LukeFlynn wrote:Ritual Coffee Roasters - La Folie Bourbon
This coffee is wowingly good, and certainly needs to be mentioned here, that's about all I can say about it.. Ritual never disappoints though...
Try it, if you can find it.. you'll understand.

Sweet Tooth Espresso by Ritual Coffee
This was the first espresso I've ever tasted that managed to be this sweet without any tart acidity for the lack of a better term. I ran the shot long and relatively quick, 20g in 42 out in 29 seconds, and my mind was blown. It was absolutely delicious... a pastry in a cup.
Since the CDN dollar is no longer close to par with the USD, finding US coffees regularly has had me going through pound after pound of 49th's Epic, which is sweet in its own right, but holy cow is the Sweet Tooth on another level. The fact that it's $25 for 12oz causing lots of issues for me now... lol

This year's batch of La Minita at George Howell. This really does taste like 'classic' La Minita, super clean flavors of crisp fruit (apple and grape at higher ratios, tropical fruits at lower ratios) over toasted nuts, and even a little herbiness at higher doses.
And let me tell you about doses because what really wow's me is how dense these beans are, far and away the densest coffee I've ever used. The beans are all small, but very consistent in shape and color, and I can easily fit a 23g dose in an 18g VST basket without touching the showerscreen. I started with an 18g dose to get it dialed in, and had to check my scale because it was such a small amount of coffee. And even though I've been playing around with doses a lot, every shot has been delicious

I am really enjoying a Kenyan from Elysian coffee roasters out of Vancouver, BC. To me it tastes just like a black current jam I have been eating lately. Made as a pour over In a V60. I think it was a "Karagoto" if anyone is interested.

Hey Coffeebar, I see you are in Hainan, I was there a while back it is a beautiful island. Doesn't Hainan have a long history as a coffee producer? I recall having some wok roasted beans there cooked with sugar that when brewed really curled my toes! It was in a "coffee village" for tourists, forget which city.CoffeeBar wrote:imho Londinium is one of the very Best coffee roaster in this world. Organic Bolivia MARCELINO KATARI. <image>
Never tried the coffee from Londinium, do they ship to you direct? I don't order much roasted coffee shipped to me from oversea due to shipping costs and time. How do you describe the taste of that Bolivian bean?
Cheers, Bak Ta Lo

Jeremy, you might want to check out this roaster in Taiwan: http://www.kakalovecafe.com.tw/
A friend of mine here recently pointed them out to me, and gave their coffee high praise. If you buy a couple 8oz packs the shipping isn't too crazy. I haven't tried them myself yet, but will do so once I start to run out of my current stock of beans.

Bak Ta Lo greetings, Yes Hainan province has a long coffee roasting history, Traditional wok roasted beans( Mostly Robusta ) not only cooked with sugar, but also with Butter to increased the coffee aroma. However, I don't like Robusta beans because they tended more caffeine and bitter in taste.
Londinium ship worldwide as long as your area is not a war zone, said Reiss. I do not have much choice here, so most of my beans are order online. Recently I like Rave Coffee Roasters from UK, I ordered a bag of Dark roast Chatswood Blend and the taste for me is just amazing sweet Chocolate( It was the very First time I have tested such a sweet straight espresso ) .
Yes, I like the sweet Chocolate and very low acidity Compared with Londinium Bolivian bean. Wow, This Chatswood Blend is more suitable my taste bud
Thank you
Best Regards
