For brew, if you can find something like this on your side of the border, it should fit the bill. I've been brewing this with my Espro press and Aeropress. Smells fantastic and tastes just as fantastic!

Social Coffee and Tea is in the Toronto area, and I think they ship to the U.S. The CAD/USD exchange rate is favourable right now for Americans. But I don't know how long shipping would take to Philly. Otherwise, there are tons of U.S. roasters selling nice Ethiopians.

Baarberrian Blend

I'm starting to hit the right notes for my taste with this blend of light roasted varieties from Connoisseur Coffee in Redwood City, Calif:
15 grams - Tanzania Peaberry
5 grams - Sumatra Mandheling
10 grams - Maui Mokka
10 grams - Brazil Santos
Two shots pulled on a first generation La Pavoni were very good. I think this will improve when kickstarter Rafino ships. I'm on the list for the 11 filter set!

That doesn't look like a light roast.

You are right. The Ethiopian Harrar on the spoon is a dark roast. Too dark for my taste so it's not part of whats wow'ing me, but it is in the picture.

I know someone mentioned this one, but Mountain Air La Primavera.. Brewed as drip, my morning coffee has been hard to wait for since I got it.

Nice job Marshall!
I drink two shots before I drink two shots, then I drink two more....

Wanted to give a shout out to the folks at Blazing Bean for their Luna-tic Espresso Blend. Had it for the first time and think it's a great blend if you like a classic medium darker roast with huge body and nutty chocolate. Great as a straight shot or with milk. I know there is a dedicated thread for this coffee but wanted to note here because it's wowing me.

Matari from Crema in Nashville...

This Yemeni bean has a tea-like opening and a raisin sweetness. Brewed on a Chemex with a Kone filter. Best I've brewed in a while, and loveliest fragrance I've ever encountered!

Papua New Guinea Korona Valley from SM via beehouse.

Clean and complex fruit flavors (pineapple, pear, papaya) with a hint of cereal sweetness and a dry coca bittersweet finish. It reminds me of fruity pebbles finishing with cocoa powder. Very good and interesting brew.

I'm really into Elm Coffee's Ethiopia Gersi Kebele right now. Best coffee I've had brewed in a while. Very sweet, bright, but with good body. Completely get "peach" as a note, too.

Gave it a try based upon your review. Just got it today and pulled my first shot, liking what I tasted so far. Brew date 6/14. Plus got a sample of a new espresso blend. Very nice gal running things there. I spoke to her on the phone. Time your order to her roast cycle and all will be well.
