Mtn Air Roasting
Giakanja AA roasted Mar 6 2015.

After sitting in the deep freeze these 7 month, this still has a sweetness with underlying red berry that has been WOW this week, as I have put it through the Hario V60 paces.

Picked up a bag of Acme Powerglide in Seaside/Monterey. Medium toasted nut, a little stone fruit jamminess and an overall bargain for mirning espresso, Americanos and tight cappuccinos.

Bodka coffee -- Yemen red marqaha grade a+

Just brewed this in the v60 and it's simply superb.
25 grams coffee/400 grams water 45 second bloom (stirring) finishing at exactly 2:30
Found I can grind this coffee quite finer than most for the v60 and avoid any bitterness. The finer grind and lower brew temp (right around 200) bring out TONS of floral and stone fruit flavors. Up front you get this huge scent of strawberry and sweet florals. You get these flavors as you first drink it as well. As it cools it gets more stone fruit flavored and a bit of sour cherry. Long sweet finish and a surprisingly heavy body for such a light coffee.

I was very impressed with this coffee and it's the first Yemen I've ever had. I would venture to say it's one of the best coffees I've had all year.

pry the best overall S.O. I've had all these years, just so good and balanced whether straight or in milk. I want to try some of Mountain Airs S.O.s but we mainly make iced espresso drinks in the morning and feel like his S.O.s may get lost in milk.
