Tried the People's Daily blend and really liked it. Tried the People's Liberation and really didn't... found it left a bitter aftertaste. What else should I try? Anyone been through their list? Kenya Nyeri Tegu? I like sweet finishes.

I also prefer the People's Liberation to the Daily these days. I pull the Liberation longer and a little cooler than the Daily. It has more fruit and acidity.

I have enjoyed all the coffees I have tried that they roast for espresso. Some of their non-espresso roasts are very light, and I have been overcome by a few of them (the bag ran out before I was able to get the grind and dose down). You could get to know regions or processing methods through their offerings, as they are all good quality. Just take enough time with each coffee/blend to get it right. I recently had the Ethiopia Wallega Leka Wato and it was too bitter or too flat and dull unless I brewed it at 14gm, a lot cooler than I expected, and very short, which really opened up the fruit. So you might need to play with the coffees a bit to taste them at their best.

I pulled the sidamo ardi drip roast as espresso for a cappuccino and I've never experienced such huge blueberry taste in a cap before. I loved it. It worked great straight (nice and bright) and in an americano (nice and chocolaty) to me. I have been told that the lighter drip roast is a lot harder to deal with than the espresso roast, which still has nice fruit but is a little more chocolate heavy. This coffee is also being custom roasted to be used by a competitor (who I'm helping out) in the regional barista championships this year in Toronto.

Chocolate dipped peanut butter biscotti. Awesome.

I like the People Daily...It was good, tons of brightness and fruit.
I dont usually like that much fruit in my espresso blends but I grab a bag once in a while for a change.

If you like something bright, and fruity sweet, and are open to a single origin, I strongly recommend trying their Honduras Finca Fernández.

A little pricey but very worth it.

Tried Los Portillos, but didn't seem to have the complexity of Peoples Daily that I like.

My latest batch of People's Daily seems less fruity and less complex than usual. I'll try the Honduras Finca Fernández.
