Here in Eugene Oregon we're fortunate enough to have several local coffee roasters though most of them seem to have jumped on the "3rd wave" bandwagon and thus many of their offerings are too bright/citrusy for my liking.

However a few days ago I tried two different bags of beans from a relatively new local roaster and I was quite pleased! The first was their Brazil Fazenda, and the second their Safari Blend espresso. I got the Fazenda in medium roast and loved it--very chocolatey and nutty and super smooth. Their Safari blend I got in a dark roast and really liked it too, also chocolatey with a little citrus and spice, really really good!

They're offering free shipping at the moment, so now would be a good time to try them out!

:) Oh man. I've had this interaction with inexperienced baristas before.

"So, what's tasting good right now?"
"I really like the Finca."

Used to love the Brazilian from Insight in Sacramento, but they stopped carrying it. Looking forward to this one.
