Can't wait to get my beans and Brewista scale.
Espresso Cielo in Santa Monica uses 49th Parallel beans exclusively on a Slayer, awesome piccolo cappuccino last week. Wish I could get my latte foam to integrate into my espresso the way they do. The texture is incredible. :D
If you're in Santa Monica, Cafe Demitasse sells the Brewista scale for $60.

What is the free shipping method used for U.S. orders? Canadian Post handing it off to the USPS? That is typically 10-14 days to the U.S. East Coast.

I noticed that under brewing parameters they recommend 7 bars of pressure for all of their espresso. What machine are they pulling shots with set to 7 bars?

I ordered on Wednesday the 21st and expect UPS delivery this Wednesday the 28th in Los Angeles.
Thinking 7 or 8 days post roast should be fine, plan to vacuum seal as soon as I get the beans. Still quite a bit longer than if I had ordered it from say Seattle.

That's considerably longer then what's shown on their delivery schedule map. That's longer then I'd want to have my coffee out there so I wouldn't even want to think how long it takes to get to New England.

Since you live in Santa Monica, why not pick it up at Espresso Cielo?

Was the package actually shipped on Wednesday? I'm not sure where 49th Parallel got their numbers, but UPS guarantees 4 business day delivery between Vancouver and Santa Monica, so it should have arrived today. In any case, the best policy is to order for Monday shipment so you don't lose two days over the weekend if possible.

... and the worst is to order for Tuesday shipment like I did last week. Blue Sky and Epic should be here later today (Monday) after spending Thursday, Friday, and the weekend at local Canada Post depots. It'll be nice to get back to the espresso after a couple weeks learning to brew on the V60.

Seems like a similar experience for me. Ordered 2 bags + 2 capp cups on Sunday....shipped Monday. Hadn't arrived by the end of the week. Hopefully tomorrow, which means 1 week off-roast already.

Not sure what they're using for free shipping....but hard to believe it could be any slower. I can order from Square Mile in the UK on a Sunday and have the coffee at my door by the end of the week, so not sure what gives.
