www.ptscoffee.com: without the love, it's just coffee

Props to Paradise Roasters

I'm a big fan of Counter Culture and Intelligentsia, but I recently decided I wanted another roaster or two to add to the rotation and ordered from a few other vendors with good reputations. One was a sponsor - Paradise - and the other was not. By chance the non-sponsor disappointed me, but the Paradise is fantastic. I ordered several of their espresso blends to give them a fair shot, but right off the bat I love the Classico. It seems like every shot I have of it leaves me pleased - I'm guessing this would qualify as a very beginner friendly blend since it seems to produce great shots without being too fussy about things like temperature.

The Brazil has been great, too, although I've found it to change more from one shot to the next based on how I pull it (you might easily argue this is a good thing especially since the shots are always enjoyable, just have different characteristics coming out).

The other blends are sealed up in the freezer waiting their turns and I can't wait to try them out.

Dan good work getting so many sponsors who produce great products!

ps This thread was inspired by great coffee and Chris' coffee rant...

I know that this forum tends to attract people who are a little more focused on the process than the end result (just look at the total posts in the gear topic areas versus the coffee topic are). But I don't get this.

If anyone wants to share what they like to do with Paradise coffee (updose, downdose, high temp, low temp, ristretto, etc) I'd be interested. I do love that they give their advise right on the bag for all those things.
