Paradise Roasters Freshness?

Postby rkern on Sun Apr 10, 2011 11:50 am

Paradise Roasters website states on their website, "That's why we roast-to-order 3 days a week on Mondays, Wednesdays, & Fridays."
Have you guys that ordered from them experienced this? Do you feel your coffee is freshly roasted or has anyone felt they have received stale coffee from Paradise Roasters? Thanks for the great feedback from all of you.

I have ordered from Paradise many, many times. Never had a problem. I try to put my orders in around the roasting dates. So I will order Sunday for a Monday roast and a Tuesday ship so my coffee arrives before the weekend and does not spend time in a delivery truck over the weekend.

Have ordered repeatedly. Always includes 'roasted on' date. Have visited the shop and talked with Aaron Meza, manager. Good shop with excellent beans. My wife enjoys their Havana blend; I enjoy SO's.

cannonfodder,
Thanks and great advice about not having the coffee have to sit in a truck over the weekend.

i just ordered some green beans so can't comment on the freshness but they did arrive within 3 days. I personally wouldn't have any issues ordering roasted beans from them and probably will next winter.

I'm just finishing off some El Salvador San Alonso Nano-lot which was still degassing a good week after the roast date on the bag. I have enjoyed the coffee and would purchase from them again.
