Organic French Roast Coffee at Lowes Foods

I went grocery shopping at Lowes Foods in Winston Salem, NC after lunch today and noticed a new to me coffee selection. I did not take a photo but wish that I had now. The bag is made from brown paper and has a colorful rooster on the label. It turns out that this coffee is roasted by Counter Culture out of Durham, NC, and even provides a roast date (11/14/12 in this case).
$11.19 plus tax for 24 oz, or $7.46 per lb put this in the bargain price range but it might still be the best coffee on the shelf there. I think it is clever of CC to add this tier of product even if they do not put their brand logo on the front of the bag. If I hit it right and find a bag with a fresher date I might try some.

I just found this post when inquiring about who distributes LowesFood organic. Anyway, this has to be my favorite coffee and it is very good and consistent! For the value and quality.
