Plus 1 for Velton's Bonsai and Kuma's RedBear.
I'll also throw in for getting Slate's Kenya Gaturiri and Brazil Fazenda Sao Pedro. Their competition blend at Big Western consisted of 60% gaturiri and 40% Sao Pedro. So very good.
Also, Augies Coffee Roasters.

Dan,
Although I greatly appreciate the mention, unless you have been to our caffe, you probably would not have tasted our espresso. Our espresso is roasted in small batches and seasonal. We change every 7-10 days and we never repeat. So we have 45-50 unique offerings per year. In addition, our whole bean espresso is only sold at our caffe on a first come first serve basis. Generally, after the first three days of a new blend the espresso available for sale will be sold out.
I will be extremely impressed (and honored) if anybody can name a specific espresso they have bought on their journey here.

This thread is going to grow into difficult to follow proportions, but if this one hasn't been mentioned yet, it sounds interesting.

I scanned the previous posts and collected the list below (sponsors listed in the first post are not included). Please let me know if I missed one. I'll then create a poll where members can select 4 roasters. Those that are in the top half will be randomly selected for review.

It should be noted that Epic Espresso was included in Favorite Espresso Blends 2010, so as with Social Coffee, I'd prefer to see a different Canadian roaster this year.canuckcoffeeguy wrote:Hi Dan. I think 49th Parallel Roasters, from Canada, was also mentioned earlier in this thread.

I seem to remember Intelligentsia being mentioned as well.
Thanks...
