I think Pig Iron from Toronto should be included. Their Steel Wheel has been very good at the shop lately.

I'm overjoyed to see that the initial post on this list mentions Barrington Coffee first. Oh, I forgot to check if it was alphabetical. Regardless, I've been roasting for years and consider Barrington the benchmark espresso. I keep a bag handy simply to check my roast color and I pull it regularly so I won't lose sight of what greatness tastes like. They have had the most consistent espresso throughout the 10 or so years I've been drinking ristrettos daily.

There is nothing in the above post I disagree with, Terroir Daterra Southern Italian. While not a blend as the topic states, I have had nothing better.

Don't know the rules for nominating, but I have a few:
If this is a nomination on just a straight shot of espresso, I had a bag of Heart's Stereo given as a gift and was pleasantly surprised. My usual experience with Heart is a "smack me in the face" acid bomb, but it was wonderfully balanced chocolate and berries. It was lost in milk, however.
Would second Venia. About halfway through my first bag of Ethiopia Yirga Cheff Adulena. Brown sugar and fruity juicy candy.
The third one I come back to often is Kuma's espresso blend, always good.

+1 on Kuma Red Bear Espresso. Kuma is generally a somewhat slept on roaster - many excellent offerings from them.

Although you have to blend this yourself, Jeff at Redbird recommends the blend on his website, at 50/50 and it is just superb for espresso!
Redbird's Ethiopia Yirgacheffe Wote Konga + Sumatra Permata Gayo mixed at 50/50.
He really nailed these two beans, roasts and blend recommendation and I believe its justifiable for your Favorite Espresso Blends 2014 nomination!
