I would suggest following:

1. Red Bird, you should have at least one Indie roaster on the list. Jeff roasts great coffee and it would be great to have it formally reviewed. This one is favorite of many people on this board too.

2. Ritual Sweet Tooth Single Origin Espresso is just excellent. Fruity with chocolate finish, I thought I don't like single origins, this one changed my mind.

3. Heart-breaker from Grumpy.

4. Dancing Goats Espresso, chocolate, marzipan, what's not to like?

5. Cuvee Dead Fingers Espresso, this thing is probably thickest dark chocolate/cherry espresso I tried last year.

Have to agree with Dennis on this one. Red Bird is hard to beat from a roaster. I keep Red Bird on hand all the time to pull out of the freezer when I run out of my fresh home roasted SO's or blends. Over the past couple of years I bought from many of popular & recognized roasters and Vivace Dolce was my favorite until I discovered Red Bird. Jeff is a true artisan roaster that takes exemplary care of his customers. Also, the best deal in the country. Jeff is still holding his price at around $48 for 5 pounds delivered.

You can bet when Denis places Red Bird on his list, as finicky as he is, you can bet that it been through his tests and passed.

I'd like to see some of the seasonal espressos that are either not always available, or change depending on what's in the blend. Denis mentioned Sweet Tooth, and I could add:

+1 on sweet tooth, one of the best espresso i've had this year, with kenya guama especially.

I liked Black cat organic (brazil so) more than black cat classic also this season.

I would also be interest to know more about blue bottle espresso

I'll nominate Sightglass Owl's Howl Espresso which has been very good at the shop the few times I've tried it. I haven't tried this at home yet.

I just ordered two espresso blends from Evocation Coffee Roasters, their Spitfire and 49mm espresso blends. The former has shown up in the forums so it might be of general interest, the latter is designed more for lever-heads with 49 mm filter baskets. Sure hopes it works well in my 45 mm La Peppina basket. :)

I see a lot of espresso blends in the nominees from last year that I'd be interested in seeing reviewed as well.

I would like to see at least a couple of Canadian roasters' blends in the review. In particular, Social Coffee Company's People's Daily is easily accessible to most members here with their free shipping to Canada and the USA. There are a number of other high quality roasters from which to choose a second coffee.
