Hi everyone,
I was wondering if anyone here has had experience with Mark's Brothers in Dallas, TX. I just bought got a Silvia/Rocky setup in Dec. and haven't bought any fresh roasts yet. I was going to order some Black Cat and stumbled upon Mark's Brothers. I live in Fort Worth (about a 30-45min drive from Mark's Brother) and would probably have any coffee from MB shipped anyway, so freshness between the MB and Black Cat shouldn't be much different, especially allowing for degassing.

Any thoughts on these guys?

Thanks
Steve

Howdy, neighbor!

I'm afraid I can't comment on Mark's Brothers Coffee in Dallas. However, I can recommend a terrific roaster right here in Cowtown! Rodak's http://www.rodakscoffeeandgrills.com/ is located on the south side of Ft. Worth just off of McCart. I've never been disappointed in his roasts. My wife LOVES his Brazilian Morehnina Formosa roast (exellent for espresso). I believe he even has a Silvia right there on the premises! We sampled some Australian peaberry w/spicey notes in a french press this past week. He sells green beans as well if you happen to roast at home. I highly recommend you give him a try.

Steve, in Fort Worth.
