Is there an HB MVP espresso 2010?

Postby Chert on Sat Feb 27, 2010 12:54 am

I thought I saw this as a prize from Paradise Roasters again over the holidays last year. I enjoyed watching it roll out last year. And would like to try it if its happening.

I am wondering the same thing. I will send them an email. I won that last year, and am hoping someone can come up with a better blend this year.

I remember during the contest that someone did win that prize... hopefully a blend gets developed, I sadly missed out on the MVP blend (despite plenty of chances I had to buy it....)

Hey everyone,

Yes, there will be a 2010 HB Winner Espresso. We're working on another revision of it right now. Hopefully, the product will be up within the next few weeks. I'll post here with a link when it is available.

Scott, I promise you, it was NOT personal at all buddy! You're going to think this is ridiculous, but... When I found out about the MVP blend, I had just got the Anita/Major combo, ie:my first real setup. So, when I heard about Paradise and found your blend, I was intimidated to buy it! I can remember going to read about the coffee, and thinking, "WOW! The MVP of HomeBarista developed a blend with a top tier roaster? Sheesh, I hope I can someday have the skill to work with coffees as high end as this!"

As silly as it may sound, thats the ONLY reason I didnt try it. I didnt feel worthy.

Jeff, I was kidding, of course. I am looking forward to the new blend, and I hope they will still be giving some of the proceeds to Coffee Kids!

Yes, it will be the same arrangement as last year; $1 donation for every bag sold.
