Intelligentsia El Diablo for espresso and milk drinks?

Hi all, I get to go to Chicago again in a week and have always been curious about the El Diablo blend but have never had the chance to try it. I only found one thread about it from 4 years ago, so I was wondering if folks who have tried it could give me their impressions of it, either for espresso or milk drinks. I figured it might be a good darker bean to try out.

I bought a bag last year and was disappointed. I was in the mood for something darker so I bought this. It wasn't dark at all, was just medium roast and was quite lacking in any flavor, and was by no means "El Diablo"! Maybe I got a bum batch, it might be totally different now.
