Ahhhhh.... a topic near and dear to my heart..... I just purchase an Aeropress recently, and it really is an amazing device. For someone who only drinks a coffee from Starbucks, I was surprised how this plastic thing made a really nice cup of coffee. I have been using coffees with the World Market brand on them, notably Mocha Java. Squeeze a cup through, with a little Vanilla syrup and milk & froth, and you have a really nice cup of coffee. So good, that I decided I could probably do better, and just ordered a Rancilio Silvia. The Aeropress has now cost me >$1,000. Frankly, I think the Aeropress can make a good cup of coffee with sludge from the backyard.

For me, the best thing about the Aeropress is the intense flavor it produces. Ever since I first sampled Caffe Fresco's offerings http://caffefresco.us/ I've been a devoted fan. The flavor of Tony Sciandra's masterfully selected and roasted coffee beans is hard to beat. Brewed in the Aeropress, they produce the most delicious cup of coffee I have ever had. I usually buy Guatemalan for the Aero and Ambrosia for my espresso machine, but both are great in the Aeropress as is every variety of Caffe Fresco's beans.
