Anyone drink PT's Bella Vita? Have you noticed a big change in the last while? I think they may have stopped using a monsooned in there, but maybe my technique has dropped off... again...

There was something off or at least different for sure the last time I bought some. The roast date was oct'28.

I'm not knowledgeable enough in origins, (I only consume blends), so I attributed the variation to a 'bad batch'.

I used this for the first time last week (roast date:11/13)

Overall, I thought it was good. Full bodied, hints of gingerbread and cocoa.

What did the monsooned beans add to the blend that I may have missed out on?

My guess is on the monsooned. It adds an earthy character to the coffee that might be missing now. It's a little similar to Victrola's streamline espresso.
