My wife & I went to Santa Cruz for a weekend in May to do some mtn biking & bouldering. I looked up the best bakery in Santa Cruz which was Companion Bakeshop. I have been listening to the Cat & Cloud podcast for s few months and was stoked to see Jared working behind the counter. We had cappucinos made perfectly, but what blew me away was how friendly Jared was, true professional!

They just recently successfully completed their kickstarter campaign to raise funds for their own roaster! It's going to be EPIC!

Shawndo, thanks for mentioning this podcast, I had never heard of these guys. Working my way through their podcasts now too, really enjoy it.

Great dudes. Great coffee. They helped me out greatly with my Kickstarter campaign and even sent me a bag of their Panama Elida Estate Natural which was straight up fire. Their podcast is also excellent.

Can't wait for them to open their cafe in Santa Cruz.

Most of their kickstarter went to partially pay for their roaster. They are getting a 25LB San Franciscan in some kind of green

It will be behind class in their cafe doing double duty as a display piece. Those are NOT ugly machines.

Yep, that machine is a real beauty. Can't wait to head out to Santa Cruz to visit their soon-to-be open cafe!!! If you ask me, Verve is stupid for letting their main talent go. These guys literally made Verve the coffee that it is and now they will be their cross-town rivals. I know Chris and Jared don't harbor any ill-will towards Verve, but business is business and I'm sure Verve is gonna realize that they f*$#ed up.

Amazon just recently got fresh batches of Cat & Cloud "The Answer" in stock!!!

Double duty: display piece and coffee shop heater?

Every coffee shop that I've been too that has a roaster in it is very warm inside.

I assumed the 10oz bag was 10 oz by weight - so around 280g.

But if you look at the Amazon listing:

https://www.amazon.com/Cat-Cloud-Coffee ... oud+coffee

The picture says "Net wt. 100 grams"

I'll assume it's just the wrong image being used - but if not, yikes.

I can assure you that those bags are 10 ounces of coffee. I have ordered several. Also, I just noticed that they had the price reduced to $16.99!!! Not sure if that is just a sale or what, but I just grabbed 2 more bags.

Are the roast dates on the bags at Amazon? If so, how old are the bags you received.
