Barefoot New Valveless Bags - Page 3

Fold over bags are NOT air tight!

I do not know why, but coffee tastes better coming from a heat sealed valve bag - EVEN IF IT IS ONLY 3 DAYS out of roast (over fold sealed bags).

At Len's Espresso Blends, we only offer heat sealed valve bags and always bag, seal and ship the day of roasting...in fact the beans have always still been warm from roasting when they werre bagged.

Given the sorry state of the economy and reduction in business, I suspect going to the cheap foldover bags was simply a cost saving measure. I love Barefoot's coffee, their BOSS espresso is my favorite. Nice thing is they're only about 5 miles from my house.

And yes, the roastery did move to over off The Alameda. It's in a rather non-descript building. Sort of a stealth roastery.
