Spent some time at Bisbee Coffee Company down near the border. Super people. http://www.bisbeecoffee.com/
They have an excellent espresso. I drank it in cortados (short capps). Had to explain to cashier but barista waved her off, "I know it. You're the first call for a cortado in six months. Where you from?"
The manager and a former roaster/turned barista helped me cup two greens I was considering. Graciously accommodated the request. Manager was good cupper. Their pourovers were too thin, all ratio issue.
Stopped at delis along the way to Tucson (Tubac and Sierra Vista). Both shops seemed to take great pride in their 10W-40 beans. Total char, all roast dominant. Fail.
In Tucson. Suvaya roasts in shop on an Ambex. On Broadway. http://savayacoffee.com/, Using a Victoria Arduino, 3 group. http://www.victoriaarduino.com/va388-bl ... gravitech/
Excellent Brazil roast, total comfort cortados. Nice Kenya in a press pot as well. See you folks Saturday.
GoPhish, be there!

Any chance of a last minute addition? I am still not a sure thing, because I'm coming from Phoenix and am not sure where in Tucson you are meeting (I know the address is floating by PM). But if I come, I can bring some Redbird, some Bergie's (a Gilbert roaster), and a knockbox! If we need espresso cups I could bring a couple sets too.

Okay, I'm in! Although, I just realized it's more in Oracle than Tucson
I will bring a large knock box and try to be there between 9:30 and 10 to assist with any setup as needed.
Is there anything else I should bring? It sounds like we will be pretty flush on equipment, but I could bring my (new to me) K10PB if we want a large (motorized) conical. Also, if there's a 58mm machine up and running, I could also bring the VST 18g, IMS Precision Double, and EP HQ 14g ridgeless if we want to do a basket shootout.
I'll check this in the morning before I leave to see what the consensus is. Looking forward to seeing everyone tomorrow.
