Yay Frank! I was hoping you would make the trip, but didn't know if that was too much of a stretch.

I am keeping a spreadsheet in Google docs with names, Joel's address, and our cell phones/emails. I will share the link the week before we gather.

Send details along to me in PM; not on the board.

Well, I am planning on going down. Candie and I both really enjoyed the last one. Really looking forward to seeing everyone again.

Not that I like food or anything, but I dropped a note to a cake baker in Tucson. Felt she would know... She heartily recommends this pastry baker in north Tucson. Look at the pastry menu! I will grab some here on the way to Joel's:

I'll plan to pick up some pastry at Beyond Bread as well. Corner Bakery was allegedly opening in Tucson, but seem to have withdrawn. Their sour cream cinnamon coffee cake is wonderful.

Can never have too much great pastry.

You guys are killin' me. I was planning on picking up either Beyond Bread or Village Bakehouse. You stole my thunder! They are both excellent.

Great minds think alike.

Joel - since you are hosting, I am taking you off of pastry duty. Direct order! I got this one.

I spoke with Mario, the host and manager at our Preserve Grill, last evening about bringing the bunch over for lunch. As they close for a couple of hours to prepare for the dinner crowd, we'd need to be seated no later than 2:45. The Preserve Grill is a far more elegant setting with a spectacular view of the Catalina Range. Since it will be March, there's a good possibility that we might be seated on the deck. I also invited Mario to join us in the morning.

Lunch prices are quite reasonable; there are two daily specials.
