Prairiedawg wrote:Update on the BBQ. Starting next week I'm going to ask for a head count.

Also next week I will start PMing all who responded to this thread with directions to my place. I'm not going to post it here, I like to keep a low internet profile. If you don't receive A PM with directions by July 8th on haven't posted on this thread then please contact me through HB and I will give you directions, address info etc.
Since work is even more hectic, I will likely be on h-b.com infrequently up to planned meeting time so I will post now.
* Is the date still Saturday, July 15, 2017?
* Please include me in the headcount. I will be on lookout for the PM with address to your residence.
* I'll bring my Cremina with Gabor's piston pressure gauge, OE Pharos (this time for full masochistic comparison to Monolith conical :( ), comfort blend such as Paradise Roasters Classico (I do not home roast).
* already got two bottles Italian reds ( 2013 Rocca Barbera d'Alba and 2015 Rosso di Montalcino) that should pair well with Carolina BBQ pork shoulder
* 6 bottles craft beer (TBD, but likely something from 3 Floyds).

Again, thank you in advance "prairiedawg" for hosting.

I have sent out PM's to everyone who has responded to this thread with directions to my house. I am not going to publicly publish them. If you are interested in coming but didn't receive a PM from me, please PM me and I can give you my address. There were a couple people who responded to the calendar app but not to the this thread. I did not PM those folks, so if they are planning on coming please contact me. IF everyone could RSVP as well so I can get a semi accurate head count that would be great.
Thanks again to everyone for the interest. I look forward to seeing everyone in a couple of weeks, John.

I received an extra large bag of Gran Miscela Carmo from Cafe Lusso today. It is my favorite coffee, I keep trying others and always come back to it. If you haven't tried it then next Saturday will be a treat.

How are we looking with machines and grinders? We probably need more than one of each.

I have the Profitec 700 and the Monolith conical. I have a back up super Jolly in the basement in storage. If anyone wants to bring another machine that's fine. I have a separate 20a outlet on the same wall as my Profitec wired on a separate circuit. I think Dr Mike is bringing his Cremina. Another high end grinder could be fun though.

The Cremina will take care of the lever junkies; I'll bring the K10 for extra grinding.

Just wanted to confirm what I wrote in post #31: yes, I will bring my Cremina with Gabor's pressure piston gauge & naked portafilter.
Same two wines as mentioned in that prior post#31.
And the beer I got is Metropolitan Brewery's Flywheel pilsner. I did not make it to retailer that carries Three Floyds.
