I guess, to be really cool now, that should be an iPad. Eh?

Now there's an Apple commercial ... hip 3rd wave espresso cafe filled with iPad users. 8)

Yeah, it's a wonder all those French cafés can remain open at all . . .

I am tired of reading about the Slayer, I want to try one. Do we have a Slayer in Los Angeles yet? Any shops planning to get one?

Late to the party here, but I was distinctly unimpressed with Rocky Roasters the time that I went. Barista was less than attentive to the pour, which was on an automatic machine anyway, so not much she could have controlled. It was thin and overextracted. She also couldn't answer questions about roast dates on the beans that I wanted to buy. Considering that I've seen them place several craigslist ads looking for baristas who were 'passionate about coffee', if what they got there was the result of one of those ads, they're not interviewing very effectively.
