Great espresso in Hamburg and Berlin

Postby mitch236 on Mon Aug 30, 2010 1:12 pm

I am travelling to Hamburg and Berlin next month and was hoping to try out some cafes. Does anyone have suggestions?

I was in Berlin over the summer and had the same question. I found a place called Bonanza Coffee Heroes.here is their site: http://www.bonanzacoffee.de. They were fantastic, the best I found In Berlin. They are atOderberger Straße 35, 10435 Berlin, Germany. They use a synesso, and it is a real little place with no space to sit inside, but the coffee is great.

Let me know how you like it!

Hey Mitch!
Have fun in Germany. Here are some real nice spots in Berlin.
Goodshot
Immanuelkirchstrasse you will find it in
Berlin-Prenzlauerberg
Double eye
Akazienstrasse - It's in
Berlin - Schöneberg
Barcomi's (american cookies, pies and sandwiches - if you feel a little "homesick")
Bergmannstrasse
Berlin- Kreuzberg
you can also use google maps for locating other coffee places but these are the one's I have tested and liked! enjoy Mrs.Bean :)

Thirteen years ago I enjoyed 3 weeks in Prenzlauer Berg. I did not know so much about coffee then, but enjoyed weekend breakfast buffets at Flax and Pasternak near the Kollwitzplatz. I don't know if those places still exist, but memories of good bread, cheese and milchkaffee remain.

Hey Mitch,

for Hamburg you might want to try this Coffee Houses (please google the addresses):
- Due Baristi (3 Group Izzo Lever)
- Black Delight (Synesso)
- Espressolution (?)
- Torrefaktum (Roastery)
- Caffe Latte (3 Group Izzo Lever, its in the Wohlwillstr. in St. Pauli)

for Berlin the best have already been mentioned:
- Godshot (LM GB/5; Immanuel Kirch Gasse)
- Bonanza Coffee Heroes (Synesso, Oderbergerstr.)
- No Fire, No Glory (2 Group E61 Legend, Jessnerstraße)

Enjoy your vacation, this two cities really offer a lot, also apart from coffee!
