Speaking of... I couldn't get a decent espresso shot to save my life in San Fran! I event went into Franci Coppola's bar on the edge of North Beach and expected a mediocre shot once I saw an Illy can on the grinder. Nope, no crema at all and it sucked big time. I still drank it but had I made it at home it would have been sink bound.

I know I was about 2 blocks from Trieste too which Jeffrey from Pallo and Coffee Tool told me was good. Practically everyone in that town uses that damn tamper attached to the grinder. Last year I nicknamed those the "San Francisco Tamper"

Glad to be back home working next to the Lyra!!!!!

You can't get good espresso in north beach, you need to hit either Ritual or Cafe Organica.
