Well, I have a couple of makers with no steam frother wand. I would suggest that these little battery boosted bad beauties or their higher priced sisters do produce a very good microfoam from heated milk. Easy to clean, unlike the French press type frothers. Mine recently died after two years of occasional use, home and travel. :(
