Ha - Lone Tree is a bit of a black hole for good coffee. I actually live near there - just a bit west. From Lone Tree, the options are:

- Starbucks - everywhere.

- 303 Coffee - they serve Coda, which I'm not a fan of. In fact, if I couldn't go any further, I would have to debate between this and Starbucks. There are a few other shops nearby that also serve Coda.

- Spur Coffee - 13 miles. They serve Sweet Bloom, which is quite good.

Beyond that, literally everywhere I can think of is more than 15 miles away!

Looks like my trusty Lido and Espro will be accompanying me on my next trip to Lone Tree.

I thought I would share this - Sweet Bloom gets some love on a couple of their coffees. Definitely worth your time for the coffee and the vibe.

Thanks for the tip, Chuck! Which brings up another question: If any of you could only go to one or two of the places suggested, which one(s) would you choose?

Go to the source for boxcar as it is their roaster coffee bar location and it is really a cool spot. Plus the pastries from the French bakery across the way are insane.
Then probably sweetbloom because he is the most "indie" roaster around. But it kind of depends on where you will be. Huckleberry has a cool location in a shipping container that's pretty close to boxcar.

Since you asked, I would say Sweet Bloom. That being said, you won't go wrong with any of the recommendations. It is kind of like asking about favorite craft beer tasting rooms in Denver, lots of exceptional choices. I hope you enjoy your visit.

Thanks for all the help! Our train leaves early tomorrow morning, so it looks like we will definitely be visiting Boxcar and Sweet Bloom whilst wandering about Denver for a few days...then checking out whatever we stumble on as we roam around the hinterland.

I see there's a Boxcar in Boulder, too. Prolly need to give it a look as well. Can't wait! :)

Don't forget to hit up breweries........ breweries galore there lol. Hit up Linger, mortuary they turned into an "eatuary" and there's a rooftop drink spot with a cool view.

Be aware that Sweet Bloom has strange hours - 7am-1pm, Mon-Sat.
