So I found finally time today to watch this. I'm sorry, but this guy sounds like some Never-get-what's over-rated frustratee, with deep hatred within. Sad that such a deep philosophical topic (which is the title of his talk) is washed down like this.

It could just be my unrefined palate, but I like Tomatin.

It meets my first criterion - I don't think it tastes bad.

I would not describe it as nuanced, subtle or complex... just scotchy.

Around here, yes, it's around $25 for a 750mL. Compared to Glenlivet, Glenfiddich, JW x (where x is greater than black), it's attractively priced.

Caveat: I live in Wisconsin, and we pay less for liquor than basically everyone else in the country. (Source: Lewis Black (Youtube, Audio NSFW, may offend))
