FYI - there is a new coffee shop in Chicago.

(between Concord Pl & Wabansia Ave)

They are using MadCap beans from Grand Rapids, MI as their 'house beans' and will be offering guest beans from some of the top roasters in the country. Already, they have had Intelligentsia and Metropolis from Chicago, but more importantly they have had beans that to my knowledge have never been in Chicago before - Stumptown, Counter Culture, and ever Terroir. Definitely worth a trip for the Chicago area espresso enthusiast.

They don't appear to have a website up yet, but they are on facebook and give a daily listing of what the various coffees of the day are:

They are having their first latte art 'Sprodown' on Sunday at 7pm. Already 20 confirmed guests, and I'll be one of the Judges.

It's good to see some new beans in Chicago!!!

About time trendoid Wicker Park got itself a good cafe But seriuously, one with a a daily SO from different roasters countrywide is new to Chicago and a welcome addition. I'll check it out asap.
