A new listing has been added to the "Outside of Immediate Area, but Close" category. It is the Evergrain Bread Co. in Chestertown, Maryland. It is a 90 minute drive from Silver Spring but well worth a visit if you happen to want to visit a nice, historic Maryland city. They most definitely have a pedigree.

I've heard that the LAMILL in Baltimore is no more. You might want to remove them from the list. Another concept is slated to open in the space in the future.

A new addition to the list - http://www.breadfurst.com/our-location . They serve delicious pastries and sandwiches in addition to a caring espresso/coffee program.

Another promising café/roaster in Washington DC: http://compasscoffee.com

Two Modbars and three Vulcano Swift grinders complementing an impressive roaster (Loring) and tons of high end lab equipment. Here is a good read on their café: http://www.washingtonpost.com/sf/style/ ... ground-up/

Cervantes Coffee in Springfield is a nice little coffee roaster, with an open warehouse and espresso bar.
I've been helping them rebuild a couple of Faema 2 group machines, and the coffee is excellent.

A new café opened in Silver Spring, MD this very day. Very friendly, knowledgeable staff. Nice lunch treats and beer/wine in addition to a nice selection in vinyl record equipment - http://bumpngrind.co/ .
