I am not from the area and rarely visit Jerusalem but try this branch of Aroma:

You can also try:

I also recommend to visit the "Machne Yehuda" market and to eat here:

Enjoy your trip.

Cafelix actually just opened a branch in Mahane Yehuda! http://cafelix.de/

Another place is just about to open up in Yafo (south of Tel Aviv) called Basma Cafe on Louis Pasteur St. The place has a nice vintage feel to it.

Most coffee in Israel is espresso style. It's actually quite difficult to find drip or even press pot coffee here unless you go to a "third wave" style place like Cafelix.

If you make it up to the Golan Heights, there is a wonderful little shop called Coffee Anan atop Mt. Bental, named for the former UN Secretary General, with a breathtaking view of the UN buffer zone, Syria, and Lebanon. On clear day you can even make out Damascus. Probably my favorite spot in the country.

Have a safe trip :)

Israel has some outstanding coffee! I was there a few years ago and had great espresso throughout the country. My favorite place in Jerusalem was Cup of Joe. You also can find Aroma cafe's all over, and they are a chain, but a really good chain with great espresso. If you are interested in a latte, order the "cafe hafoock". Enjoy your trip!

Just came back from my trip.

We had a great time.

The Cup of Joe coffee shop just closed (opened an italian restaurant there).

I had great coffee at the machne yehuda market in Jerusalem. Great place w great food. Very small coffee shop with single origins etc. The guy there (Tom) was really nice and knowledgeable.

John
