[SOLD] Olympia Cremina 67

Postby IMAWriter on Sat Dec 29, 2012 3:47 pm

After a nearly 6 year love fest with my Olympia Cremina 67 (circa 1981), I've decided to offer her here, hopefully to someone who will cherish this wonderful example of craftsmanship as I have.
Included are the original Olympia OEM Cremina Porta-filter and OEM baskets, knockbox, crappy tamper, pitcher and funnel, and the somewhat rare instruction manual.

You'll get lots of extras:
Custom boiler wrapping from OE (asbestos removed), a solid brass Richard Penney tamper and a solid brass Richard Penney bottomless PF. I'll also include Elektra MCAL single and double baskets, a BP gauge from OE that slides over the steam arm, lots of specialized tools, lubricants etc. In addition, I've installed the 2011 steam wand ($70 not pictured), and of course I'll include the original wand. IMO, the new wand provides better steaming power, is way easier to clean, and has a removable tip. The "extras" are valued at about $450.
I'll throw in a nearly new "Grindenstein" knock box, and some 1# and 12oz one- way valve bags.

After the first "going over" by Doug at OE, I've serviced the Cremina myself, admittedly with a LOT of "cyber hand holding" from Doug and Barb!
I replaced the sight glass last year, prolly the hardest repair to do.
Gaskets and seals are all in fine shape, so should be nothing to replace for at least a year. I just replaced the group (PF) gasket in September.

I'm now asking $1500, + shipping and INSURANCE. (around US $50-$70), I'm guessing. The price includes EVERYTHING PICTURED plus my throw-ins.
I will OVER pack it, with special care to separate the accessories from the machine body. The extras/accesories will ship in a separate box, at MY expense.

DISCLAIMER
She has a couple of wee scratches (very small) on the casing, barely worth noting.) Of course, there are a few typical signs of wear, nothing out of the ordinary. The group has a very slight indentation at the crown, barely noticeable, and was there when I got her nearly 6 years ago.

As I have many Canadian friends, as well as friends "across the pond", it pains me to say I'll have to keep this sale strictly US based.
I'll not be able to sell anything separately, as I'd have no use for any of the accessories.
I hope someone is interested in giving Ms Cremina a good home.
Sincerely,
RJ

Here's a pix with the 2011 steam wand attached, as it presently sits.

After my Bricoletta sells if your Cremina is still available I'll give her a new home. Unless you're interested in a partial trade then we can talk now...

Thanks, Mike.
By the easy, I really enjoyed the 2 coffee's I purchased a while back.
Just a wee bit late in acknowledging.

I'd like to buy your Olympia Cremina. Sounds like it's had lots of TLC and I promise I'll give it the same...
Let me know how to do this transaction.
