Hi everyone, was cleaning out my garage. Below is a 58mm Concept Art flat base tamper with a beautiful custom Blue Maple handle from Dave Stephens (cannonfodder). Beautiful and one of a kind. I am sad to see it go but downsizing my many tampers I already have. It's only been used to tamp a handful of times, still pristine condition.

More photos of the blue maple grain. Note the wood has a dark mark on it denoted in pic. It came that way. Tried my best to show the blue color in natural light but it's much nicer in person.

The dark mark is a brown streak in the maple, the natural color of the wood. The blue is an aniline dye that I custom mix and the finish a catalyzed urethane. That is hard maple, not soft so the wood is very dense. They make baseball bats from that wood, FYI.
