He is a fan of Turkish Coffee, but I've hooked him on espresso. I pointed out that one of the finest coffee houses in out city is two blocks from his house, introduced him to the owners and the baristi. And, since he camps with me when I go, introduced him to the wonders of the Mypressi. So he bought one!
Well, now I have taught him about fresh ground coffee, the evils of whirly-birds, and the advantages of a decent grinder. So he's asking me about one that he can use for his two favorites, Turkish and espresso.
I suggested the Zass (It's not the 175 anymore, is it?) and have heard some concerns that it is not of the same quality, but... ?!?
He countered with the Porlex, and all I could offer him was my intuitive feelings about the newer Chinese parts.
I'd love for him to get better guidance than that.
Anyone that has experience, using either the new Zass Turkish Mill, or the new Porlex with *both* types of extraction; or *both* grinders with either or both types of extraction, would be encouraged to post their thoughts and experiences.
