The base transducer is capable of an output of something near 240 watts, the transducer built into the carafe is around 120. Some of the effects are noted with only 10-15 seconds of "sonication". I have some pipettes that can be used to draw off samples at given times to evaluate a sample at specific times. According to the developer, these things are built to last like a decade of regular use, easily.

Most have been alcohol based, hence not really appropriate for this forum. He wants me to try out using turkish fine grounds and making beverages somewhat akin to cezve style coffee. I'll see where that takes me. It's certainly a great device for wine and spirits. I think the only hurdle they'll have to overcome in the coffee world is making something that works quickly without too many complicated steps. Most brew methods with the unit are some form of immersion brew, and fine filteration isn't yet possible unless you confound your whole process by adding more gear to it. It makes stellar Irish coffees, but I haven't tried the turkish grind stuff yet. Will shortly though.
