Which is why I like the Clever Dripper. Plop the water straight out of the Zojirushi dispenser, while stirring. Cover. After 90 seconds, stir again and cover. After 4 minutes, release into my mug. Toss the filter into the trash and rinse out the Clever.ex trahere wrote:Without a dedicated device such as an uber, lb-1, or one of the yet to be released but promising automated pouring units, it takes a steady hand to make a good, consistent cup.

Are you using the 195 degree or 208 degree setting? I've only used mine for Aeropresses at 195 degrees, or for Americanos and the 175 degree setting.Marshall wrote:Plop the water straight out of the Zojirushi dispenser, while stirring.

Good point about the Clever, Marshall. Despite its rise in popularity and ability to produce a consistent cup however, I would not consider it a true representative of flow-through extraction, given its hybrid nature (arguably it leans towards the immersion side of things).
If I want to make an immersion brew at home, I always gravitate towards my 2-cup syphon.
I don't own a Clever, but have been to a few reputable shops that offer it with solid results. I would definitely consider purchasing one if they made it in glass or stainless.
