The site's Terms of use include a reminder that no commercial posts are allowed. Vendor participation in the forums elaborates on this policy. Lately, we've been experimenting with relaxing these rules on a case-by-case basis for a short period to enable product innovators to request feedback. The exception only applies to products not in market; once a product is for sale, the regular "no commercial posts" rules apply.jakubsvec wrote:We were on a tour with PERK all across the US... you can check out the quotes we got from the tour on the Kickstarter page!
You are welcome to answer direct questions, but please exercise restraint with promotional updates. As you can imagine, were this not the case, the forums would be filled by Kickstarter/Indigogo/private project owners pre-promoting their product sales under the guise of "sharing the latest news".
If you or anyone else has questions or concerns about this policy, please contact me offline. Thanks for your understanding and respect of the forum rules.

Full Disclosure: Not affiliated with this other than being a future happy customer when I pick mine up.
Currently, I'm about four hours drive from Santa Fe so I thought I should try the PERK on my day off. It was completely worth it. The brewer pulled out a sweet Burundi. On the spectrum of brewing methods, I find the phoenix70 (personal opinion) to have more clarity than the Chemex. When I tasted the filter coffee from the Perk, it seemed to have about half the body of a well-brewed Kalita with all of the clarity of a phoenix70. I found this very pleasing personally. What's more, I found out that Jacob (the inventor) plans on having five temperature settings built in for tea. The most interesting part I found is that taking out the water pump is very easy as it pops out after taking out two screws. I had already pledged, but now I'm excited. I'll post some photos of it later today that I took in person.

Nearly just backed it with the super earlybird special. Then I noticed the warranty it comes with is only 1 year. For a machine that's going to retail for $300.
Dealbreaker for sure, even at the $175 earlybird pricepoint.
Oh well.
