What about heating the water? Is it immersion heater friendly?
The portability is nice, but it looses it when you need to bring another kettle to heat the water

My thoughts exactly. Very interested as well if this is a double step process and heat loss.

Can someone explain to me what this does that a $27 gooseneck kettle can't do? I know a few things a gooseneck kettle will do this thing can't.
Aesthetically it's quite ugly, but of course it's subjective. To me, it looks like something I picked up at a Asian grocery housewares section for $2.50 to water my plants with. All that's missing is swinging handle.
Personally I prefer metal or glass over plastic when it comes to hot fluids. I also think that metal plate will eventually find its way down a few garbage disposers, no doubt.

You're not always right, but when you're right, you're right, right?

You need a separate kettle for hot water, so I'm still not seeing what problem it's solving.

My sentiments exactly.....anxiously awaiting to see how this will be a game changing in pour overs?

The problem of a gooseneck being way too easy to snap off for travel without it's own dedicated protective case. It'd be much more useful it if could heat the water too though.weebit_nutty wrote:You need a separate kettle for hot water, so I'm still not seeing what problem it's solving.

So long as it doesn't harm the pitcher to use on in it, with it touching the plastic directly I can see some potential problems.
