Hello, I have been a faithful moka pot user for a few years now, and have honed the process considerably with multiple daily uses. I recently replaced the gasket on my ilsa stainless 6 cup model, and with the new gasket the brew is very slow and overheating. Has anyone else had this issue? The grind has not changed, the water level and temp have not changed, nothing but the new gasket! I can't think how a better seal (?) could be causing this issue. I do start with boiling water from an electric kettle to speed up the process, but again, I did this prior to changing the gasket and no problems.

Any advice greatly appreciated, thank you.

Do you have any scale buildup starting to clog things?

Good idea, I will check for scale. I did clean it deeply before changing the gasket, but perhaps I missed something...
