Mazzer Mini grind setting for drip coffee

Postby 11201ny on Sat Nov 12, 2011 9:16 am

Hi, please excuse me if this topic has been addressed in the past. I am curious, for the people out there with Mazzer Mini's... What do you set your average grind to for drip/pour over? Mine is set to 7.5 (give or take). If we were talking about espresso this would be a ridiculous question, however in the case of coffee grind is a little more forgiving.

I'm just curious to see what others with Mini's are doing.
Thanks!

The # does not mean anything... my 7.5 is not equal to yours. If you want an answer of whether to go coarser or finer, post a good picture of the size of your grinds

Depends on coffee, brewer and preference, but somewhere between 25% and 50% of an upper burr carrier rotation coarser should be in the ballpark.
