OH! Isn't science wonderful. Well, I'll go do a test drive and report later.

Drinking a nice cup of coffee, 1940s style, and feeling very nostalgic. Lovely, thanks for getting me started.
I wonder why it takes 2 T beans per "cup," though; is that typical of stovetop coffee pots? In my former automatic drip coffee maker, the brew tasted plenty strong with a heaping T. per cup.
I confess the reason I am learning to use this Nicro/Cory coffee pot is that I broke my last and final glass carafe to a 1980s Braun Aromaster that I've been too content with all these years to replace. I love the simplicity of it. But the replacement carafes have reached an unjustifiable price now, so in the interim while I make up my mind what to do I (happily) decided to figure out the Nicro.
I'm not a daily coffee drinker, but when my mother or brother come to visit, I'd be in deep trouble without coffee.
