Hey guys. So my espresso machine is currently undergoing repairs which leaves my Mazzer Royal alone for a good week or so. It got me curious to know whether it would grind well for drip. I do have an Encore (Baratza) solely dedicated for drip but could the Mazzer outperform the Baratza on the coarser side?

Any of you folks tried this? What do you think?

Try it out for yourself. I'm currently comparing my Major and Vario with steel burrs at drip. I've only done a few Kalita's but so far I'm leaning towards the Major.
Try to dial them in at the same grind size and keep the same brew parameters and see if you can taste a difference.
