Postby rotuts on Sat Aug 14, 2010 4:38 pm

I have a friend who will now roast there own for drip.

they will get the green beans from Sweet Maria and use a iRoast 2 with a long probe thermometer through the top

they plan to get the Technivorm with the carafe.

that being said:

what grinder will match this system?

Virtuoso Conical Burr Mill?

is this excessive:

Baratza Vario Semi Pro Grinder

thanks!

What is this word "excessive". I'm not sure that I've ever seen this word on HB before. Is it a form of profanity? I don't think that it deserves a spot on this forum.

That being said all of the baratza conical grinders are great. The virtuoso would do this setup justice I would imagine. The vario is going to provide a solid option for espresso down the road if the bug bites in the future. I would imagine that the timer function would be less useful for drip than espresso but might be a nice convenience. Technivorm is great.
