DIY cone drip stand

Postby icurays1 on Sat Mar 26, 2011 11:23 pm

Well this isn't 'espresso' related per se, but I wanted to show some coffee folk what I made in the shop today:

I spend most of my time in my office (I'm a math grad student) so I wanted a classy way to make decent coffee easily. Why the stand? Most of my mugs are too big for the cone thing + it just looks cool.

Let me know what you think!
Cheers,
Nick

Very elegant. I could also see doing one as a continuous piece of stainless welding rod without any welded joints. Anyhow, nice work.

I've tried a few stands similar to that, and know it's waaaaay more difficult that it looks. Nice work!
