It works!!

I removed one battery. It was just too heavy. And each battery is 100AH so I can run a 5A grinder for 10 hours before I hit 50% charge.

But bad news on the kettle and propane burner. Fire marshal put the cabash on it. No open flames. Ugh

That's a drag. If you have to heat water (and grind) with electricity, you really want shore power. Otherwise, you're going to have issues with inverter carrying the peak load, and the batteries having enough capacity to provide the necessary energy.

Even with the larger 1250w inverter, the big grinder just won't start consistently. Oddly enough, it's even worse now that with the 750w one. Ugh.

For this market I think I've decided to pre-brew coffee at home and bring it in thermal dispensers. I just picked up a Fetco CBS 61H and 4 Luxus urns off CL for $350. The pots need some cleanup, but they were cheap enough.

I can now brew 6 gallons of coffee in 1/2 an hour and not have to worry about heating water at the market.

As far as the grinder, I think I will look for an old commercial Holwick grinder that doesn't have a capacitor start motor. Something like this guy.

My grinding/inverter solution:

No capacitor start motor. Should work fine.
