So I am needing a new scale. I like to weigh everything grams in and out on my shots so I need a fairly small and thin scale to fit under the portafilter in my CC1.. Also would like it to be waterproof. Whats a good accurate scale I should get?

I was going to recommend the AWS until you mentioned water-proof.

Your price jumps up quite a bit if so..

Water resistant.

Water "protection", whatever that means.

I just bought this one for the same purpose after my Hario scale crapped out:

Seems OK, and cheap enough to replace if it gets waterlogged. I dropped my 100g calibration weight on it and it ready 100.0g. Better than the Hario was. I like that it has a 30-second shut off and 2000g capacity so I can use it for my 1000ml Chemex drips as well as 0.1g accuracy for espresso shots.

I'm not ready to go for a $220 Acaia Lunar just yet.

I would second Uldall on this one. I have had several cheap scales from Amazon. Some have buttons so small you can't read what they are. Some have miniature display. Some have battery-saver circuits that shut off way too soon for practical espresso use.

I know it's expensive in comparison, but I am really happy with the Lunar. http://acaia.co/products/acaia-lunar-1

It is water resistant, easy to read, feels like great construction, and the programming has worked great. I set mine to auto-tare when the cup is placed and then start a shot timer when it senses the first drop.

I use the Escali PR500S Pico HP High Precision Digital Scale 500g, Metallic, 30 bucks

Its cheap and works find for what I do. Just don't bounce it off the Cremina, off the counter off the cabinet door and back a few times and you will not toast the calibration :). They do allow for calibration and the customer service was fantastic.
